March 26	Maryland Day Location: William Paca House & Gardens, 186 Prince George Street, Annapolis, MD 21401 12:00 noon - 5:00 p.m. The Historic Annapolis Foundation will open its sites to the public free of charge for its annual festival celebrating Maryland's history and heritage. Learn about state symbols including Diamondback Terrapins and Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. Jousting, crafts and demonstrations will run continuously through the afternoon. April 16	Inner Harbor Easter Celebration Location: Inner Harbor Amphitheater 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. The city of Baltimore celebrates spring with free entertainment and a visit by the Easter Bunny with this annual event presented by Mayor Martin O'Malley and produced along with Harborplace & The Gallery. Street performers and live bands entertain the crowds throughout the day. In addition, the Easter Bunny hops through Harborplace & The Gallery from 2pm to 4pm.
April 27 - 30	Baltimore Waterfront Festival Location: Inner Harbor's West Shore Thursday - Saturday @ 12:00 noon - 9:00 p.m. Sunday @ 12:00 noon - 7:00 p.m. The world's most prestigious sailing event returns to Baltimore in 2006! The Volvo Ocean Race serves as the centerpiece of the Baltimore Waterfront Festival, and visitors can experience the excitement of this international competition. Live music, family fun and plenty of food round out the weekend.
May 13	Preakness Celebration Parade Location: Baltimore's Westside 11:00 a.m. Floats, bands and giant balloons march through downtown Baltimore as part of Preakness Celebration Week honoring the second jewel in horse racing's Triple Crown Preakness Race.
May 16	Pee Wee Preakness Location: Federal Hill Park located on Warren Street near Battery Avenue 11:30 a.m. Tykes race on bouncy hippity-hops while clowns and costumed characters cheer on the junior jockeys.
July 21 - 23	Artscape Location: Mount Royal Avenue Friday - Saturday @ 12:00 noon - 10:00 p.m. Sunday @ 12:00 noon - 8:00 p.m. The mid-Atlantic's largest celebration of the arts, Artscape features 120+ arts and craftspeople from across the country; visual art exhibits both on and off site; incredible live concerts on four outdoor stages; a full schedule of performing arts including dance, opera, theater, fashion, film and classical music, hands-on projects, children's entertainers, three street theater locations; and a delicious, international menu of food and beverages.

May 21	Columbia Triathlon Location: Centennial Park, Ellicott City Don't miss the 25th edition of The Columbia Triathlon and watch 1,500 tri-athletes from all over the world compete in a 1.5K Swim, 41K Bike, 10K Run at Centennial Park in Ellicott City, Maryland on Sunday May 21, 2006. Last year an estimated 3,000 spectators cheered the tri-athletes along the race routes in rural Howard County and across the finish line at Centennial Park. April 22	Bark in the Park Dog Festival - 2006 Location: Bohrer Park at Summit Hall Farm 12:00 noon - 3:00 p.m. The entire afternoon is devoted to our canine citizenry and their owners. Your dogs can strut their stuff in the "Dog Gone It Parade" or show off their hunting prowess in the "No Bones About It" bone hunt. A dog trainer will be on hand to teach old dogs new tricks and vice versa. There will also be a dog obstacle course, a photo booth, and plenty of useful information from a variety of vendors. September 4	Labor Day Parade Location: Olde Towne area 1:00 p.m. This rain or shine event includes fire engines, high school marching bands, costumed characters, dance groups, clowns, horses, floats, and giant balloons.
October 8	Oktoberfest at the Kentlands Location: Kentlands Village Green 12:00 noon - 4:00 p.m. Amidst horse-drawn hayrides and scarecrow making, festival goers can enjoy authentic Bavarian fare and lively performances by Alte Kameraden German Band and the Alt-Washingtonia Bavarian dancers. Lederhosen is optional as Alt-Washingtonia instructs and encourages participation in some of their dances. Throughout the festival you’ll find booths representing local merchants, organizations, artists and craftspersons.
